LRCVB - Creative Services Manager


JOB OBJECTIVE: To manage and participate in the creation of advertisement and promotional materials for the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) and events, conventions and special projects hosted at LRCVB facilities.


1.Manages and participates in the creation, development, and revision of print and digital advertising, merchandising and branding materials, and marketing collateral to include brochures and rack cards for the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau.
2.Meets with LRCVB personnel to gather information and determine project needs relative to advertising and promotional materials; develops project proposals and potential time lines and submits to appropriate personnel.
3.Creates banners, digital signage, logos, invitations, postcards, posters, flyers, buttons, name tags, t-shirts, literature, and related advertising and promotional materials utilizing graphic design software; develops specifications for advertising and promotional materials, contacts potential vendors to obtain price quotes and estimated date for delivery; orders communication and promotional-related materials.
4.Designs and edits e-newsletter and provides assistance in publishing and distribution of the newsletter.
5.Receives and processes requests for photographs and videos relative to various attractions, events, hotels and restaurants within the City of Little Rock; photographs and records events, locations, people, and other illustrative and educational material for use in LRCVB publications, presentations, and webpages utilizing various photography equipment to include still and video cameras; edits, color-corrects and re-touches photographs as necessary; establishes and maintains photograph and video libraries and photo gallery on LRCVB website.
6.Proofreads materials produced by other personnel in the Marketing and Communications Division to ensure compliance with LRCVB's branding, marketing and communications strategies and routes materials to appropriate personnel upon completion.
7.Provides assistance to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns relative to advertising and promotional materials for LRCVB.
8.Compiles information and prepares tentative budget figures relative to promotional materials; monitors expenditures to ensure expenses do not exceed allocated budget; ensures expenditures are within established guidelines; reports any discrepancies.
9.Conducts surveys, studies and other research to stay abreast of current industry standards, best practices, and trends relative to design concepts and visual trends for advertising and promotion materials; identifies resource needs, compiles and analyzes information and makes recommendations to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the service delivery methods for the Marketing and Communications Division; implements upon approval.
10.Coordinates with outside agencies and oversees the development of various Departmental materials and projects utilizing the LRCVB logo, to include customized sales materials, retail merchandise, facility art and signage, brochures, hand-outs and other related information to ensure completion of materials by established deadlines and consistent application of the market and brand integrity of the LRCVB.
11.Compiles and maintains various documents, graphics and related information for LRCVB media kits; receives requests for media kits and provides information as requested.
12.Creates video and PowerPoint presentations to promote LRCVB sponsored events utilizing high-level creative concepts and vision for projects.
13.Assigns, prioritizes and monitors the work activities of assigned personnel.
14.Coordinates all activities relative to special marketing projects as assigned.
15.Participates in the website development, enhancement and maintenance of various websites to include microsites utilizing the CM (Content Management) and HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) coding.
16.Establishes and maintains hard copy and computer files and records relative to various print and digital advertisements, merchandising and branding materials, and marketing collateral and related information.
17.Serves as Departmental liaison for various activities and committees as assigned.
18.Interacts in a positive and responsive manner with clients, attendees of events, seminar speakers and the general public.
19.Operates a computer with desktop publishing, graphics, spreadsheet and word processing software in the performance of essential job functions.
20.Operates an automatic transmission automobile in the performance of essential job functions.

Minimum Qualifications and Additional Requirements

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Radio/Television, or other related field and four (4) years of professional experience in graphic design, advertising or marketing and two (2) years of supervisory experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

•Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
•Must be available to work nights, holidays and weekends as required.
