Associate for Administration - SAFH


Description: The Associate for Administration serves as a staff member within the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences Administrative Team. The Associate for Administration serves under the immediate supervision of the Dean/Director (Dean of School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences, Research Director and Extension Administrator).

Duties and Responsibilities: Provide assistance to the Dean/Director with whatever necessary to administer and promote the programs in the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Maintain and keep current files, submitted and funded proposals, progress reports, termination reports, contracts, agreements, Plan of Work (POW) etc. in the School. Prepare applications annually for Evans-Allen (Section 1445) and Extension (Section 1444) capacity grants, and review and submitting to Serve as Site Administrator and submit data to REEport and all National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) proposals (progress and termination reports). Provide scientists information for preparing proposals, progress, and termination reports for submission in REEport Portal to NIFA. Tutor scientists who do not understand the instruction for preparing and submitting progress and termination reports in REEport Portal to NIFA. Assist individuals with available requested information relative to the School and/or University when requested. Interpret and provide information and assistance to Dean/Director, Chairperson, faculty and staff on program area, university and federal policies, guidelines, directives and procedures. Other duties as requested by the Dean/Director.

Qualifications: B.S. degree plus two years of experience in general office work, including one year in collecting and compiling administrative and/or statistical data. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Search Committee.
