Adult Outpatient Therapist

The Adult Outpatient Therapist [Mental Health Professional] at the Psychiatric Research Institute provides evidence-based direct clinical services and diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention to adult patients at the Walker Family Clinic.

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for direct and indirect clinical services that are provided in the office unless remote work agreement is available upon hire.
•Makes decisions related to treatment planning.
•Understands mental health diagnosis and treatment.
•Responsible for maintaining caseload, by contacting patients and discharging as appropriate.
•Responsible for ongoing communications with their supervisor and other members of the treatment team.
•Completes clinical and administrative processes and timely documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
•Participates in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and continuing education activities as needed to maintain quality provision and coordination of care as well as professional licensure and/or certification.
•May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work
•One (1) year of direct clinical experience
•Licensed by the Arkansas Professional Board as a LCSW or LPC; LCSW candidates may be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:
•Outpatient behavioral health experience
•Evidenced-based treatment background
•Experience using trauma-informed care model

Competencies:
•Must have the ability to make decisions related to treatment planning.
•Must understand mental health diagnosis and treatment.
•Adaptable technological skills are required.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
