Facilities Supervisor

The Facilities Supervisor is a full time, integral member of TheatreSquared’s staff, charged with maintaining T2's new 50,000 sq ft facility and its ongoing operations including two performance venues, a cafe, offices, and artists' residences. The Facilities Supervisor oversees management, housekeeping, inspections, and repairs of facilities. This position reports to the Director of Production and works closely with the Executive Director.

By helping sustain TheatreSquared's community space and artistic home,—and as a positive, collaborative member of an inclusive workforce—this new staff member will help TheatreSquared answer the question, “How can a theatre be an agent of social change—helping foster a community that is fundamentally more equitable?”


Work to support an environment that is clean, safe, and in good repair for staff, patrons, and guest artists.
Ensures all systems continue to perform effectively in all T2 spaces.
Learn and maintain building systems (often working with outside contractors) and assist in ongoing maintenance of the building.
Monitor building services including access control, security, HVAC, fire alarms, utilities, landscaping, and IT networks (WiFi, phone, AV). Work with Company and Office Manager to learn and keep printers in working order.
Supervise custodial staff to fulfill T2’s high cleanliness standards. As needed, work to ensure cleanliness between daily cleanings.
Manage the intake and processing of maintenance requests from leadership, staff, and artists via T2’s computerized maintenance management system.
Perform routine repairs and construction, working with staff and overhire facilities technicians (may include basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing) in all T2 facilities. Engage and oversee contractors as needed for large-scale repairs or renovations.
Conduct regular monthly facilities inspections to proactively identify any deficiencies.
Maintain and monitor facilities budget. Prepare cost estimates for one time and new ongoing projects and services.
Prepare and maintain a long-term capital replacement plan to ensure T2’s facilities are properly maintained and invested in for the life of the buildings.
Coordinate offsite storage needs.
Oversee the installation of permanent and temporary signage as needed, including show marketing materials.
Alongside Company and Office Manager, manage building access including the distribution of keys and keycards.
In coordination with Company and Office Manager, maintain and coordinate fixes of onsite guest apartment facilities.
In coordination with the Technical Director, assist with setup and storage needs for alternate audience seating arrangements.
In coordination with the General Manager, assist with building safety protocols and handbook (ie, fire safety, evacuation, etc).

T2 provides a dynamic working environment in which duties and responsibilities may change. Employees are expected to be flexible and responsive to changes in the scope of their duties.


Proven record or long term planning and managing multiple projects.
Ability to work flexibly as a team member and present a positive attitude in times of stress.
Ability to research and self-teach new skill sets in an ever evolving field.
Capable verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, with a mature, positive, and enthusiastic attitude towards the goal of providing the highest quality work possible, in a mutually supportive environment.
Ability to work at heights from ladders, personnel lifts, and catwalks.
Ability to repeatedly lift, push, or maneuver up to 50lbs either alone or with assistance.
Maintains a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, which must be maintained at all times.
While the typical workday will be standard daytime hours Monday-Friday, given the typical schedule of a theatre company, the position requires the flexibility to work a modified schedule with some nights, weekends, and being on call.


Basic understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Skilled use of basic repair and construction tools.
Knowledge of working networking and information technology systems.


This full-time, exempt position includes an annual salary in the range of $41,000-$47,000. commensurate with experience.
