Compliance Officer

Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Leads and establishes association understanding and compliance with lending regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, FCA Regulations, Consumer and non-Consumer Lending Government Regulations, Flood Insurance, Real Estate and Chattel Collateral documentation
• Establishes, updates and analyzes procedures, processes and forms to ensure compliance with regulation requirements
• Reviews compliance audit reports to assess the accuracy and effectiveness of compliance disclosure procedures and forms and determines and completes appropriate corrective actions including Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
• Conducts regular quality control checks on closed loans and enacts appropriate responses
• Oversees the delivery of training for compliance, forms, process and procedures
• Guides and trains staff on regulatory topics including external training vendors as appropriate
• Participates in cross-functional workgroups to address compliance concerns
• Determines data needed for reporting compliance, completes appropriate reports including data entry and accuracy into reporting tools

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, 5 years of related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
