Chief Executive Officer


The Arkansas Foodbank, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas and serving a 33-county region, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer.
The Chief Executive Officer has overall responsibility for the administration and management of the Arkansas Foodbank in pursuit of their mission to provide an affordable and credible food source for local agencies serving hungry people in the state. Currently, the Arkansas Foodbank has grown to include 450 local partner agencies, delivering over 38 million pounds of food to the 33-county service area to combat hunger in the community.

The Chief Executive Officer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: financial management, fundraising, public relations, food procurement and distribution, community liaison, agency and Feeding America relations, and management of all employees and facilities.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced and passionate leader, preferably in the hunger-relief or Foodbank field, who has a successful track record of strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, with fundraising experience preferred. The candidate will be a creative-thinker with the ability to innovate strategies and programs in a transformative way while managing this change. The individual must also be a masterful and inclusive communicator, acting as the organization’s lead spokesperson to communicate the value of the Foodbank’s mission and bring together diverse groups of people, community leaders, donors, volunteers, and others to fulfill that mission.
