This is a Safety-Sensitive Job for Purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.

This position is not considered Essential Personnel under the LRCVB Inclement Weather policy.

JOB OBJECTIVE: To develop and implement social media strategies to build and maintain a strong social media presence that encourages community engagement to increase the online visibility of the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) and assist in meeting LRCVB goals and objectives.

Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinates with social media influencers and hospitality partners to ensure effectiveness of strategy and participation while increasing social media outreach; launches and maintains all social media advertising campaigns including sweepstakes, contests, and fulfillment to promote customer engagement.

Develops and monitors online content for all LRCVB social media platforms to inform the public of various events, city activities, attractions, and other newsworthy topics and increase web traffic and customer engagement.

Develops, writes, and schedules editorial content for all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and You Tube etc., across all appropriate brands utilizing LRCVB brand voice and style guidelines to promote destination and partners positively.

Develops and implements various social media campaigns, including paid promotions, across various social media platforms by producing content designed for optimal engagement by audience and followers.

Communicates with social media users and encourages audience engagement by facilitating online conversations to answer questions and provide information to inquiries posted on social media platforms; forwards information or questions to other departments for follow-up when necessary and ensures issues are addressed; sources and secures approval of user-generated content for creative use .

Conducts research to determine best practices, identify social media trends and audience preferences and makes recommendations to appropriate personnel regarding the enhancement of LRCVB’s social media presence and strategy; implements upon approval.

Monitors and tracks customer engagement, web traffic and other related key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of social media marketing efforts ; compiles information and prepares various narrative and statistical reports relative to the efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to tailor benchmarks and maximize results.

Maintains a perpetual understanding of LRCVB social media presence; makes recommendations to drive engagement and achieve social media goals and strategies aligned with LRCVB’s overall mission. .

Coordinates monthly meetings with LRCVB staff to update and maintain social media calendar.

Identifies and analyzes various social media platforms to understand which platforms work best for specific strategies, campaigns and messaging.

Coordinates with Creative Services Department to develop assets and follow social media platform specifications.

Coordinates activities with Communications/Public Relations Department to ensure all key messages are incorporated into social media outreach and to design, develop, implement, upload and monitor advertisements, blogs, social media posts, contests and promotions; maintains and updates various social media platforms and content calendars.

Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related area; two (2) years of experience in social media marketing, search engine optimization and audience targeting or related area.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must show proof of valid automobile insurance before being approved to drive any LRCVB vehicle.

Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.

This position may require one or more of the following pre-employment screenings: drug and alcohol screening, or background investigation.
