COMMODITY & REGULATORY AFFAIRS ASSISTANT

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for efficient coordination of all administrative functions of the Commodity and Regulatory Affairs Department; assist the Vice President, Commodity and Regulatory Affairs and Director, Commodity and Regulatory Affairs; perform administrative duties for commodity division directors; assist Administrators of commodity check-off programs; and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education or equivalent and 3 – 5 years administrative clerical experience.
• Must have high integrity and conscientiousness.
• Must have proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be innovative and willing to take initiative in addressing work related
issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft software products (Windows, Office, Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, FireFox, & Zoom. Proficiency in webpage
creating/editing software is a plus.
• Must be adaptable/flexible due to considerable job variety.
• Must be able to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Occasional offsite work after normal business hours may be required.
• Occasional in-state overnight travel may be required.
• Must be able to type 50 WPM (minimum).
• Knowledge of state accounting and state purchasing systems a plus.
