Mentor to young women in medicine, support hospice and grief organizations; volunteer in child’s school; help families navigate serious illness with dignity and clarity and strive to create space for meaningful conversations in the community about end-of-life care; foster and fundraise for Cavalier Rescue USA.

Advice for your 18-year-old self
“The only person you can control is yourself. Invest in yourself and lean into opportunities. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Trust your intuition. Your empathy is a strength, not a liability. You’re going to be very successful using your wit, intelligence, voice and work ethic.”

Most valuable lesson
“Boundaries are kind. When you protect your energy and your values, you create space to show up more fully for others. Burnout doesn’t serve anyone — least of all the people you’re trying to help.”
