First job and lessons learned
“My first job was pulling red rice in south Louisiana, which means pulling rice-like weeds out of rice fields before sunrise. Traveling the Arkansas Delta during a broadband roadshow brings back fond childhood memories and lessons learned from that first job. I not only saw firsthand the hard work necessary by farmers to put food on the table, but also the reward of a hard day’s work.”
Professional inspiration
“I find it inspiring to work on such critical economic and societal issues like broadband, one that is truly a nonpartisan issue that brings people together from all walks of life to find commonsense solutions.”
