Most valuable lesson
“The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to hone the power of listening and respect the value of self-confidence. By actively listening to our peers, we gain deeper understanding and empathy, which fosters stronger interpersonal connections. With self-confidence we can overcome challenges, pursue growth and inspire others. These two qualities are invaluable in both personal and professional life.”

How you define success
“I define success as the perseverance and determination to pursue and achieve one’s dreams. It is not solely measured by material wealth or external recognition, but rather by the personal fulfillment and sense of accomplishment that comes from overcoming obstacles and realizing one’s aspirations.”

One word to describe you
“Grit.”

Professional “aha” moment
“Hands down, my professional ‘aha’ came when I realized the significance of passing the CRCM exam on my first try. It was a culmination of years of hard work, dedication and continuous learning in the field of regulatory compliance. This achievement not only affirmed my expertise, but also served as a validation of my efforts and commitment to excellence. It was a transformative moment that solidified my confidence and inspired me to strive for even greater heights in my career.”

First job and lesson learned
“My first job was as a lifeguard at a local country club. In my second year, I was promoted to be the head lifeguard, where I learned the importance of leadership and team management. I was responsible for hiring and scheduling the team, as well as ensuring they were skilled and motivated. Coordinating multiple schedules and handling conflicts taught me the importance of clear communication, delegation and the ability to make tough decisions. This experience was valuable in teaching me how to effectively lead a team.”

Professional inspiration
“As a woman in her 30s, I find my professional inspiration comes from my daughters and the other women around me. It is my hope that through my dedication and hard work, I can inspire them to see that it is never too late to pursue their passions and achieve success, no matter what perceived setbacks may be put in front of them. I want to inspire a sense of confidence and determination that can help guide them to achieve their goals in life.”

Top challenge facing Arkansas
“Arkansas faces the pressing challenge of addressing its widespread problem with food insecurity, particularly among its children. As a board member of Apple Seeds Teaching Farm, I am passionate about taking this issue head-on by promoting sustainable agriculture, education and community engagement. In doing so, we aim to combat food insecurity and create a brighter, healthier future for all children in Arkansas.”

Advice for future 40 Under 40 honorees
“Embrace your unique journey, stay curious, and never underestimate the power of networking and mentorship. Confidence grows with experience, so seize every opportunity to learn, grow and make a positive impact in your field.”

Learning from a mentor
“Although I do not have a designated mentor, I actively seek guidance from respected individuals within my network. By asking them targeted questions and leveraging their expertise, I have learned the significance of curiosity, embracing diverse perspectives, and cultivating a robust support system. This approach has been instrumental in my professional development.”

Career dream as a child
“From a young age, my career aspiration has always been to become a pilot. This childhood dream has stayed with me and continues to drive my ambitions. As I approach the completion of my college education, I am determined to actively pursue my passion and turn my childhood dream into a reality.”

Advice for your 18-year-old self
“I would emphasize the importance of completing my degree after high school. Education opens doors and provides opportunities for personal and professional growth; however, it’s never too late to pursue higher education and invest in one’s future.”

Most fulfilling career moment
“My most fulfilling career moments have come from guiding my coworkers through tough issues and finding the right path for them that addresses the problem at hand while aligning with regulatory guidelines. The satisfaction that comes from helping others navigate challenges and achieve success is truly rewarding. It reaffirms the importance of ethical leadership and the positive impact it can have on individuals and organizations.”

Making Arkansas more attractive to young professionals
“By creating more biking trails for outlying communities and encouraging young professionals to get involved in politics, we can make Arkansas an even more amazing place to live. We can invest in sustainable infrastructure, support local businesses, and make sure everyone feels welcome and included. These steps can make Arkansas a state that young people are excited to be a part of!”

Best thing about Arkansas
“The best thing about Arkansas is the perfect blend of natural beauty and warm Southern hospitality. From the stunning Ozark Mountains to the vibrant culture and friendly people, Arkansas offers a unique charm that embraces a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The statewide love for the Razorbacks is a close second!”

Where you see yourself in 10 years
“In the future my goal is to work as a liaison for the Federal Reserve, bridging the gap between banks and Congress. I will leverage my expertise in finance, legislative affairs and effective communication to contribute to the overall economic stability and growth of our nation. By collaborating with key stakeholders and implementing strategic initiatives, I aim to ensure a strong financial system that benefits all citizens.”
