First job and lessons learned
“Because I was the eldest daughter, I was the built-in babysitter from a young age. But my first official job was working at a frozen yogurt shop in high school. Working in food retail taught me what good customer service looked like, how to be professional, and how to stay calm and adaptable, even during a rush.”
Biggest obstacle you’ve overcome
“A few years ago, I experienced burnout. Growing up, I was always a high achiever and used to push through challenges by simply putting in more time and effort. That approach worked in school, but in a career, the work never truly ends. There’s always more to do. I had to learn how to set a sustainable pace for myself and develop better ways to manage stress. It was a tough but important lesson in protecting my well-being while still doing work I care about.”
