Asked what guiding rule informs her life, Michele Allgood says, “I certainly was taught that there’s no shame in hard work. Everybody should work hard, and they should treat people the way they want to be treated. If you think about it in that perspective, that flows through all parts of your life.”
Allgood appears to have learned that lesson well. She manages to combine a demanding job at Williams & Anderson with community work, most notably as president of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Little Rock and as a member of the board of Kiwanis Activities Inc., which operates the Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp in Ferndale. As of Sept. 1, she will be the lieutenant governor-elect for Division 21B of Kiwanis. She also is an alumna of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXII, on the board of Dillard’s Federal Credit Union and a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the American, Arkansas and Pulaski County Bar Associations and the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers.
Allgood’s practice areas include municipal finance and transactional work involving securities, real estate and general corporate law. Her work in these areas has been recognized by the legal guide Chambers, which noted her “growing reputation as a bond financing expert.”
