Robert Coon, 30

Partner

Impact Management Group

Little Rock

Marrying an Arkansas girl brought Robert Coon to Little Rock five years ago. The relocation from the East Coast led him to join the Impact Management Group, a move that allowed him to keep his dual-love career intact.
“For what I do, it’s the perfect blend of business and politics,” Coon says.
A registered lobbyist and a member of the Democratic Party of Arkansas Finance Committee, he began work with IMG coordinating public affairs. The native of Greenville, S.C., was named a partner at the full-service public relations and public affairs firm in April 2009.
Before joining the company and entering the Arkansas business and political scene, Coon worked in the national arena as an account manager with the DCI Group.
While at that full-service public and government affairs firm in Washington, D.C., he managed public affairs campaigns for business clients of all sizes as well as trade associations and nonprofit organizations.
In March 2008, Coon was appointed to the Arkansas Service Commission, where he now serves as chairman.
Coon graduated in 2001 summa cum laude from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., with a bachelor’s degree with honors in business administration and political science.
