Scott Dews

Scott Dews, 39

Market President Hot Springs

First Security Bank

Hot Springs

Scott Dews grew up in El Dorado, the son of a career banker. Certain he would not follow in his father’s footsteps, Dews proceeded to enter banking after graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2004.
“Here I am 17 years later,” he said. “I obviously love it.”
After starting his climb up the commercial lending ladder at Little Rock’s Metropolitan National Bank, Dews joined Searcy’s First Security Bank. He worked in commercial lending in the Little Rock and Saline County markets before getting a new opportunity in 2014.
Dews was chosen to lead First Security’s expansion into Hot Springs and named market president in the Spa City, where he now oversees a staff of 20 and three full-service banking centers.
There, his civic work includes chairing the boards of both the Oaklawn Foundation and the National Park College Foundation. Dews also is the incoming chair of the Hot Springs Metro Partnership.
He has volunteered in local youth sports, coaching baseball, basketball and soccer over the years.
