Biggest obstacle you’ve overcome
“Mastering judgment. People will always have their opinions about you and your choices. I’ve risen above the judgment cast upon me and let my actions speak for themselves.”
A small habit that has helped you succeed
“Being present can be a challenge in today’s world filled with distractions. I’ve learned that putting in the effort to engage with those around us is a valuable habit to cultivate. When we take the time to be present, it not only enhances our own experiences, but it also makes the people in our lives feel appreciated and valued.”
One book everyone should read and why
“‘The Five Dysfunctions of a Team’ by Patrick Lencioni. It’s an indispensable guide for new leaders and aspiring team builders.”
First job and lessons learned
“At Fun Factory, a bounce house company, I learned the worst response you could receive was simply ‘No.’ A few weeks into my journey there, an assistant manager position became available. Despite my lack of experience and time with the company, I took the leap and applied. I was rewarded with the job and learned to embrace the possibility of being told ‘No’ as a stepping stone to growth.”
What you’re most passionate about in your career
“Building talent. I enjoy helping our interns learn about the corporate world and watching them build their own skill sets to send forth into their careers. At the same time, I am passionate about training and developing our customers to maximize their software experience. When we all operate at our best, we all succeed together.”
Who you look up to and why
“All the women I surround myself with: my mom (Marti), sisters (Rosaleigh and Marina) and my good friend Susan. They all embody resilience, even as our lives unfold in different ways. I’ve learned so much from them, and the greatest lesson is that life will always throw curveballs; it’s our response that truly matters.”
A word that describes you
“Tenacious”
