This position is part time only and is limited to working no more than 80 hours a month POSITION SUMMARY Ozarks Electric is seeking an individual to work with the Engineering departments GIS and Structural Engineer team. This position is for part time only hours to not exceed 80 hours per month. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: GIS Administrator Supervises: None MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES GPSing large work orders such as work plans, system improvements, and road moves, as well as any other work order that for one reason or another, GPS point were not collected by a Staking Tech on the front end. Checking poles and transformers and other equipment for various information such as pole and transformer tag numbers, pole branded information such as height an class, transformer kVA size, manufacturer, and serial number. Attaches pole tag number or transformer company number sticker to those ones he finds without one and records the information to bring back to the office. Assists in updating transformer information and ties to consumers in both CIS and the map from data sheets turned in as well as his own field work. Does other simple map clean up or edits as well. Assists Structural Engineer from time to time with moving and organizing inventory. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Job Knowledge, Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read and navigate maps. Must have good oral and written skills as well as good interpersonal skills as this position will sometime involve interactions with the members when working out in the field. Equipment Operated: Computers and specialty attachments directly related to GIS/GPS. Must be able to use machete and small trim saw. Abilities and Skills: Must have a current Arkansas drivers' license. Physical Effort: This position must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions: This position primarily works in an office environment with occasional outdoor activities.
