The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is a state supported Historically Black College/University with an enrollment of approximately 2,600 students. The University has academic degree programs at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels. The Department of Biology at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track laboratory instructor position commencing in the 2019-2020 academic year. A Bachelor’s degree is required with at least three (3) -five (5) years teaching experience or a Master’s degree is preferred. A strong commitment and experience in undergraduate teaching, advising/mentoring students, and committee work is required. The individual will be expected to tutor students in the biological sciences area. This work will require teaching in the evenings. A biologist with the expertise to instruct laboratories in general biology, anatomy, microbiology, vertebrate physiology and developmental biology is desired. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position will begin in August 2019. Review of application packets will begin immediately until the position is filled.
