This position is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas Expires on 9/5/2019 The IT Project Manager II reports to the Director of Finance for the Northwest Campus and works with campus leaders and subject matter experts for projects related to the Northwest campus to identify ways to reduce waste, increase productivity, increase revenue and improve processes. The IT Project Manager II will be responsible for overseeing new process development, determine training requirements and follow each project through to completion. Identifies resources required to successfully execute improvement projects. Tracks and documents the team’s progress. Ensures that time-lines and goals are achieved. Communicates opportunities, results and issues to various audiences, including the Performance Improvement Oversight Committee, process owners and project teams. Using statistical tools, investigates existing processes for improvement and expands the use of statistical understanding and problem solving to all CO departments. Provides management with scheduled project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on selected projects. Prepares and writes a final report on each project per the final project report format. Provides End User Support of desktop application and hardware that follow UAMS policies including planning and implementation of end user technology systems. Provides classroom technology support and maintenance to the completer lab systems. Provides Server Support in a Microsoft Windows Server environment. Installs and maintain VMware infrastructure. Maintains backup system. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in project coordination OR an Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in project coordination OR a High School Diploma/GED plus 7 years of experience in project coordination. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Information Technology or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in project coordination.
