KAIT 8 in beautiful Northeast Arkansas is looking for a motivated, innovative producer for our morning show. The ideal candidate will be aggressive about breaking news, creative and possess the ability to provide new and interesting content for our viewers. This producer should be a show crafter with excellent writing skills and meticulous attention to detail. The primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Creating interesting content for morning show viewers • Oversee all details of morning news broadcast while working closely with members of the news and digital teams • Stacking, writing, showcasing and crafting the overall flow of the newscast • Time & manage on air product and staff from our state of the art control room • Contribute story ideas on a daily basis • Handle breaking news and severe weather in an aggressive and timely manner Qualifications/Requirements: • BA/BS in Journalism/Communications or equivalent experience required • Knowledge and understanding of all media platforms, including broadcast, digital, social and mobile • Demonstrated ability of good news judgment and journalistic integrity • Ability to write, edit, produce and gather content under strict deadlines • Ability to interpret information to establish facts and determine truth • Knowledge of ENPS and other news programs or ability to learn • Experience with non-linear editing • Ability to act as a team player while displaying an ability to handle a variety of tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline driver, stressful environment If you feel you’re qualified and want to work with a great group of people go to https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings, you may type in the job title, station call letters, or click on "apply now", upload your resume, cover letter and references.
