Launched in 1985, Leadership Greater Little Rock has stood the test of time, earning the praise and appreciation of its participants, its sponsors, and the community it serves so well. read more >

Leaders are not born; they are developed. Unfortunately, many people do not realize this fact. We take for granted the future of our area by simply assuming that the appropriate leadership talent will emerge to guide us whenever we need it. read more >

In LGLR’s 30 years of connecting talented, community-oriented leaders and immersing them in a nine-month course of full-day sessions — including history, community, education, government and politics, criminal justice and public safety, healthcare, military, and economic development — the program has produced measurable positive results through its more than 1,400 graduates to date. read more >

I can’t say enough about the Leadership Greater Little Rock program. It is an incredibly unique and gratifying experience. Our community is forever indebted to this program for exposing our current and future leaders to a myriad of viewpoints and perspectives and providing them with the necessary tools to effect positive change throughout this city and state. read more >

Leadership Greater Little Rock is governed by a 19-member Board of Trustees and has graduated over 1,300 alumni. Then as now, members of my class forged lasting friendships that continue today. We soaked up everything we could learn from a stellar list of community leaders who inspired us with a simple truth – no one needs permission to be a leader. Not only were we encouraged, but we were challenged to dive into service, to learn everything we could about our community, and to get busy making it better. read more >

Leadership is organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal. LGLR does just that in order to expose every participant to all that the Little Rock region has to offer, as well as the challenges facing the community and the opportunities to lead. Every person participating brings something unique to the experience, and in the case of the members of Class XXVII, it’s certainly not shyness. read more >
