Institute Receives $10K Grant to Compile Plan for Pine Bluff

The Arkansas Economic Development Institute at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Tuesday announced that it has received $10,000 from the Simmons First Foundation to compile a community economic development profile for Pine Bluff. read more >
The once-elegant Hotel Pines on Main Street in Pine Bluff is being tested for renovation. The nonprofit Pine Bluff Rising bought the property for one dollar, but has committed $300,000 for pumping out the basement, shoring up columns and fixing the roof to see if the hotel can be saved.
