Summer DeProw
Summer DeProw has been named provost of the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, effective Sept. 7.
DeProw is assistant vice chancellor for assessment and accreditation at Arkansas State University. She has been with A-State for six years and started there as the director of assessment.
Her academic career began at Williams Baptist University, where she was the Business Department chair and later associate professor of business.
DeProw earned her Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Mississippi. She also earned her MBA, bachelor’s degree and specialist in community college education credential from A-State.
DeProw also serves as a Peer Corps member of the Higher Learning Commission; as a mentor and center champion for the A-State Women’s Leadership Center; as Talent Task Force Committee chair for Jonesboro Unlimited Economic Development; and as an advisory board member for the School of Education at the University of Mississippi.
