Central States Manufacturing Gets New HeadquartersLock Icon

There’s nothing like a new office with more elbow room.

Central States Manufacturing Inc. of Lowell hopes to move into a new corporate office by the end of January 2022 after buying a 21,068-SF headquarters in Tontitown. The purchase totaled $4.8 million in a deal that closed Nov. 1.

A company official said Central States, which makes metal sidings and roofs, has “outgrown” its current location, which is an office-manufacturing facility of nearly 140,000 SF. The manufacturing plant and staff of 120 will remain in Lowell along with about 30 business development staff members.

The front office and headquarters staff of 100 will move to Tontitown when the facility is ready. Central States plans minor reconfiguring of the new building and some renovations of the Lowell plant.

The new headquarters is the current home of staffing agency TRS Healthcare, which was founded by nursing entrepreneur Diana Wright in 1996 as The Right Solutions. TRS isn’t relocating, Whispers is told, but is transitioning to remote work for its 120 employees, not counting the scores of nurses it contracts with.

Wright, the company’s CEO, and her husband and CFO, David, bought the undeveloped site for $340,000 in 2015 and moved into their newly-built digs in 2018. Diana Wright was the Arkansas Business Executive of the Year in 2008.
