1 min read

The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau on Thursday announced the hiring of Brian Staggers as its new senior director of information technology.

Staggers will identify future technology needs for the bureau and oversee its IT infrastructure, including computer services, networking and information security, LRCVB said in a news release. He’ll also carry out the recommendations of a technological infrastructure review that the LRCVB commissioned in 2021.

Staggers has 20 years of experience in the industry. He was previously the IT manager for the North Little Rock School District and the information system manager for the Arkansas School for the Deaf, a position he held for 11 years.

“His proven track record and experience with cyber security and management of information systems will be invaluable to us as we re-envision the role of the department in our organization,” Chris Phillips, LRCVB senior vice president of finance & administration, said in the release.

Staggers, a Little Rock native, holds a master’s in IT management and a master’s in cybersecurity from Webster University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Philander Smith College.
