EGP Merges With Little Rock Accounting Firm Henry & Kell

1 min read

Accounting firm EGP PLLC of North Little Rock on Monday announced a merger with Henry & Kell LLP of Little Rock.

The combined firm of nearly 45 employees and seven partners will operate under the EGP name, the company said in a news release. The former Henry & Kell office at 11809 Hinson Road in west Little Rock will remain open.

EGP also has locations in Bryant and Heber Springs.

“From a personal standpoint, I value and respect the members of EGP,” Henry & Kell owner Liles Henry said in the release. “This merger is a great opportunity that allows me to continue to work and consult with a less demanding schedule.”

Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

“The synergy of the combined firms within litigation, business valuations, as well as tax, is extremely exciting,” EGP Managing Partner Colin Gorman said. “Liles has the experience and depth in litigation/expert witness testimony that resembles that of our firm’s Founding Partner, Bruce Engstrom, and will result in enriched services to clients and the state of Arkansas.”

Mergers and acquisitions in the CPA industry began surging in late 2020 after a pandemic-related slump. The trend has continued in 2022.

In February, Bankers Assurance LLC of Little Rock announced it was joining the national accounting and advisory firm BKD CPAs & Advisors of Springfield, Missouri. In January, Jordan Woosley Crone & Keaton Ltd. of Hot Springs merged with the regional accounting firm Alexander Thompson Arnold PLLC.
