First Community Bank of Batesville has added Deb Sefcik and Tyler Choate to its commercial lending team.

Sefcik has been hired as senior vice president and commercial lender. She has more than 40 years of experience in the banking industry in Little Rock.  Sefcik obtained her associate’s degree in accounting from Capital City Business College, attended Southern Methodist University, and completed a multitude of specialized educational and training courses from the American Institute of Banking.

She also serves as a board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities. She has served as executive director for Center for Financial Training for the state of Arkansas and as president of West Village, a nonprofit organization that she formed to revive, restore and renew the businesses along the Rodney Parham Corridor in Little Rock.

Choate has been hired as vice president and commercial lender, and he has 16 years of experience in banking. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in banking from the University of Arkansas.

He has also served in numerous nonprofit volunteer roles, including board chair for Junior Achievement of Arkansas Central Arkansas Region; board treasurer for Home Builders’ Association of Greater Little Rock; and board member for Boys and Girls Club of Little Rock.

The two professionals are working from the bank’s branch at 4900 Kavanaugh Blvd. in Little Rock, but will be moving to the new banking center at 17820 Chenal Parkway this summer, upon its completion.
