Pomrenke was a co-creator of Arkansas State’s onsite hospitality program.
Kraig Pomrenke has joined Atrium Hospitality of Alpharetta, Georgia, as regional director of operations in northwest and western Arkansas. In his new role, Pomrenke will have oversight of four Atrium-managed hotels in northwest and western Arkansas, comprising more than 125,000 SF of event space. In addition to directing the Holiday Inn Springdale, the Hampton Inn & Suites Springdale and the Courtyard Fort Smith Downtown, Pomrenke will assume general manager responsibilities at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Northwest Arkansas Hotel, Spa & Convention Center, which is connected to the Rogers Convention Center. “With more than four decades in hospitality, [Pomrenke] is a genuine hotel leader with a creative and responsible leadership style that complements Atrium’s core values,” Lars Schrader, vice president of operational strategies at Atrium, said. “I look forward to collaborating with [Pomrenke] to continue Atrium’s operational excellence at our hotels in Arkansas.”
Pomrenke’s resume in hospitality includes stints as general manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Jonesboro Red Wolf Convention Center, where he led the hotel’s 2019 opening. He was director of operations at Selrico Services of Texas, a food services company. He also held leadership jobs with companies including Driftwood Hospitality Management, Hegg Cos., IHG, John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. He was a member of the board of the Arkansas Hospitality Association and the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, and he was chairman of the board of the Sioux Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau in South Dakota. He is also the co-creator of the onsite hospitality program at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
Pomrenke received his Bachelor of Science in management from the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota.
