Capital Business Machines of Little Rock has a new name: Capital Technology Group.
Executives say the name change reflects the company’s growth as a state leader in business technology, equipment and services.
“With the purchase of Innovative Systems, Inc. in 2017, it solidified Capital Business Machines among Arkansas’ top business machine and technology sales and service providers,” Brett Rogers, president of the company, said in a statement. “With that purchase and additional technical and cloud-based offerings we’ve developed since, the business now serves customers in 80% of the state.”
“So a new name and new look really better reflect where our growing company is today,” Rogers said.
Capital Business Machines was started in 1939 in downtown Little Rock as Capital Typewriter Company. It’s still a family-owned business.
Under its new name, Capital Technology Group, the company will remain in its Jones Street headquarters in Little Rock.
