The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College announced that Ana Hunt has been appointed provost for the university.
“Dr. Hunt has demonstrated her commitment to student success in everything she has done at UA-PTC,” Chancellor Summer DeProw said. “She is a great leader who possesses the knowledge, skill, experience, and compassion required to advance the important work this college does in our community.”
Hunt will serve as the executive leader for the following schools and units: School of Fine Arts Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Science Mathematics and Allied Health, School of Technical and Professional Studies, Libraries, Academic Advising Center and Student Support, Records, Perkins Grant, Institutional Research, Adult Education and Tutoring Services.
Hunt has been with UA – Pulaski Tech since 2019. Before accepting her position as provost, Hunt served as interim chancellor during the university’s national search to replace former Chancellor Margaret Ellibee. She most recently served as interim provost.
“I’m humbled and very grateful that the search committee chose me,” Hunt said. “I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to offer the best education experience in Arkansas.”
Hunt holds a bachelor’s from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, a master’s in college student personnel from Arkansas Tech University and a doctorate in educational leadership and management from Capella University.
Hunt will lead the effort to hire a new associate provost in the coming months.
