A conversation between father and son about consumer products led to the creation of Simporter Inc.
Tim Hall, the father and now CEO, was telling his son how difficult it was to bring new consumer products to market with confidence they would succeed. Dillon Hall, working in Ukraine for an AI tech company, told his dad that an AI program could take the guesswork out of those decisions.
The duo started Simporter in 2016 in Kyiv but moved to Bentonville after the Russian invasion. The company uses AI software to research consumer needs, devise products to fill those needs and then test how well those products would be received.
Simporter works with companies such as Colgate and Clorox and helps shave research and development times from one year to six weeks.
“We had a great year,” Tim Hall said. “We had a crazy end of the year, busy, busy, busy. We have been super active helping them figure out the right products to bring to market.”
