Today’s Power Inc.

2024 Arkansas Business of the Year // Category I (1-30 Employees)

North Little Rock

As a cooperatives-owned renewable energy company, Today’s Power Inc. of North Little Rock sees itself in a unique niche.

The 27-employee solar project builder was founded in 2014 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Inc. It supports the 17 electric cooperatives across Arkansas and has built a strong interstate reputation.

“TPI is uniquely set apart in the solar industry as the only cooperative-owned, community-focused renewable energy company in the state,” Marketing and PR Coordinator Taylor Baker said. The key to success, Baker added, is “our dedicated, qualified and highly trained personnel.”

TPI’s goal is to build renewable energy facilities for cooperatives, public power utilities, cities, counties, school districts and tribes across the country.

“Today’s Power Inc.’s greatest blessing and greatest challenge are to meet the ever-increasing needs of our customers for sustainable, renewable and low-cost energy alternatives to support their energy independence and resiliency needs,” Baker said.
