Southern Aluminum

Southern Aluminum was born as a hobby of founder Charlie Taylor, but in more than 45 years it has evolved into a leading producer of lightweight contemporary aluminum furniture.

Taylor was a creator of aluminum stadium seating and folding aluminum tables when he started crafting picnic tables and porch swings out of aluminum. The company’s reputation soared in the 1980s when rental companies discovered its light, folding aluminum tables.

Now its 200 employees make linenless products for the hospitality industry, convention and venue companies, higher education institutions and government.

Southern Aluminum is proud of its design aesthetics, product strength and durability and sustainable manufacturing methods, not to mention customer service.

Magnolia has always been the company’s home, “where every product produced carries the heart, energy and passion of the dedicated people behind our brand,” said Bonnie Keith, brand marketing manager.

The company has grown 91% in the past three years and sales were up 36% in 2022.
