Eells Named as Inaugural Windgate Foundation Endowed Director of UA Little Rock School of Education (Movers & Shakers)

Rachel Eells has been named the inaugural Windgate Foundation endowed director of the School of Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The position is funded by a $3.5 million gift from the Windgate Foundation.


Brookshield Laurent (NYITCOM-Arkansas)

Dr. Brookshield Laurent has been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine & Dentistry by the secretary of the U.S. Health & Human Services Department. Laurent is the associate dean of population and public health at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.


Micah Wiegel (Baptist Health)

Dr. Micah Wiegel has been hired at Baptist Health Women’s Clinic-Conway. A Benton native, Wiegel received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.


Randy Jordan (CHI St. Vincent)

Dr. Randy Jordan, who has served patients as a cardiologist in central Arkansas for more than 38 years, has announced his retirement. Jordan spent a large portion of his career at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic in Little Rock.


Stacy James has been promoted to lead executive of clinical services and population health at Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Little Rock. James, a native of Fort Smith, has been with the company for three decades.
