2 min read

Citizens Bank of Batesville announced it has promoted Rob Woods to city president of all of its northwest Arkansas branches.

He has served as city president for Bentonville and Rogers since 2021, and will now have the added responsibility of the Fayetteville market locations, the $1.3 billion-asset lender said in a news release.

“This new role provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute leadership for our dynamic organization in Northwest Arkansas,” Woods said in the release. “Being part of creating innovative strategies and financial solutions in such an evolving market is extremely rewarding.”

Woods has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. He’s an active member of the American Bankers Association (ABA) and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He has previously served as a board member and finance chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas, commissioner of Cord Blood Bank of Arkansas and membership chairman of Boy Scouts of America.

He has also served as a leading member of both the Rogers and Bentonville Rotary Clubs, and is a graduate of the Benton County Leadership Class.

Woods earned his bachelor’s and master’s in business administration from the University of Mississippi.

“I’m confident Rob will excel in leading the Fayetteville market just as he has in Rogers and Bentonville,” Micah Beard, executive vice president for Citizens Bank, said in a statement. “This position will allow him to leverage his extensive experience to strengthen our service commitment and continue to build strong partnerships in the Northwest Arkansas area.”
