Greenhead: The Arkansas Duck Hunting Magazine editor Brent Birch appeared on KFSM’s 5Outdoors program last week, where he reviewed the 2024-2025 duck season.
Asked what he thought of the season, Birch said that while he personally had successful hunts, overall it was a mixed bag for Arkansans.
“January, and the weather in January, really helped. Not that we got an influx of ducks, because even the aerial surveys by (Arkansas) Game and Fish don’t show that we did — we did pick up some ducks, but we’re still well below the long-term average — but it made the ducks get active,” Birch told host Skot Covert.
