The Startup Junkie Foundation of Fayetteville announced Thursday a new initiative in collaboration with SLS Community to explore the state of neurodiversity in the workforce across northwest Arkansas.
Through a series of targeted surveys, this project will gather insights from employers, neurotypical employees and neurodiverse employees to identify key trends, opportunities and challenges shaping the neurodiverse workforce in the region.
A release from the foundation stated that the project took a research-driven approach to develop the surveys, aiming to ensure they are comprehensive and impactful, with questions crafted based on extensive research and best practices in the field of neurodiversity.
The project was developed in partnership with experts from SLS Community, or Supporting Lifelong Success for Neurodiverse Adults, of Fayetteville.
By collecting and analyzing responses from various stakeholders, Startup Junkie Foundation aims to produce a detailed report that will serve as a resource for businesses, policymakers, community leaders and regional stakeholders looking to create a workplace environment that welcomes and supports neurodiverse individuals.
In the coming weeks, the foundation will distribute the surveys to community partners, supporters and the public at large. Employers and employees are encouraged to participate and share their experiences to help improve and support the workplace environments.
