University of Arkansas Names Indrajeet Chaubey as Provost (Super Mover)

Indrajeet Chaubey has been appointed the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville’s next provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs by Chancellor Charles Robinson. The provost oversees the university’s academic and budgetary affairs.

Chaubey is the dean of the College of Agriculture, Health & Natural Resources at the University of Connecticut. He previously held faculty and administrative positions at Purdue University from 2007-2019 and the UA from 2000-2006. Chaubey is a widely respected expert in the field of hydrology and water quality. “I’m pleased to appoint Dr. Chaubey as provost and welcome him back to the University of Arkansas,” said Chancellor Charles Robinson. “His extensive leadership experience in higher education and his track record of advancing student success, research and faculty excellence make him exceptionally well suited for this role.”

Chaubey has a bachelor’s in agricultural engineering from the University of Allahabad in India. He earned a master’s in biological and agricultural engineering from the University of Arkansas, and he has a doctorate in biosystems engineering from Oklahoma State University.
