America’s Car-Mart Inc. of Rogers (Nasdaq: CRMT) on Monday announced Jonathan Collins would become the company’s CFO, replacing longtime executive Vickie Judy, who will assume the role of chief accounting officer.
Collins comes to America’s Car-Mart from Walmart Inc. of Bentonville where he was that company’s CFO of Africa retail operations. Collins spent 13 years with Walmart and also worked for global accounting firm KPMG, including stints in China and Australia.
“Since becoming CEO in October 2023, I have emphasized our commitment to strengthening operations and attracting talent to support a larger, more complex business,” America’s Car-Mart CEO Doug Campbell said in a statement. “Jonathan is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of driving strategic and financial performance across complex organizations. His experience will be instrumental as we diversify and enhance our capital markets, treasury, and financial planning capabilities.”
Judy has been with America’s Car-Mart since 2010 when she became the company’s director of financial reporting. She has been CFO since 2017 when she replaced Jeff Williams, who became CEO when Hank Henderson retired.
“It has been a privilege to be part of Car-Mart’s evolution and growth over the past 15 years,” Judy said. “In my new role as CAO, I am excited to continue supporting the company’s success and to work closely with Jonathan to expand our financial capabilities and take Car-Mart to the next level.”
Judy received the lifetime achievement award at the 2021 Arkansas Business CFO of the Year awards.
