2 min read

Tiffany Means has joined Eureka Springs Hospital as chief executive officer. In this position, she will be head of Eureka Springs Hospital, which serves Carroll County and surrounding areas. “For me, this opportunity is about more than just operations and strategy — it’s about building trust, improving access, and making sure every decision reflects the unique needs and values of the people we serve,” Means said in a press release announcing her hiring. “I see my role as a bridge between Eureka Springs Hospital and the community by listening deeply, responding with integrity, and leading with purpose.”

Means worked in Mercy Health System in northwest Arkansas for 20 years as nursing director, inpatient and emergency services. Her responsibilities included managing daily operations of both the emergency and medical surgical departments. She went on to become emergency department director at Northwest Health System. There, she worked as project director to open a stand-alone emergency room in Fayetteville. She has also provided independent consulting for hospital systems in Arkansas, California, Illinois and Texas. “She stood out from all other candidates because of her experience and commitment to community building. She’s not afraid of challenges and her positive energy is contagious,” said Sandy Royce Martin, chair of the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission.

Means earned a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She also holds a master’s in health care administration from Missouri State University in Springfield and a bachelor’s in nursing from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.
