Batesville | Employees: 625 | Industry: Banking
First Community Bank has grown from a single branch in 1997 to a statewide presence, and its culture played a large part in that growth.
Full-time employees are offered development opportunities, like leadership coaching and mentoring. This year, the bank introduced a new, six-month Leadership Training Certification Program to prepare rising managers for greater responsibility. An Equity Incentive Program keeps employees engaged by giving them a stake in the bank’s success.
Employee Resource Groups also aid in engagement by creating a space within the company for connection between co-workers and advocacy for causes. The groups include a women’s mentoring program, a brand council and a diversity outreach team.
Additionally, the bank’s internship program helps develop the next generation of bankers, introducing students across Arkansas to the fundamentals of the industry, workplace etiquette and professional growth opportunities, building a pipeline of future leaders while supporting local educational institutions and families.
