Brothers Ford and Warren Overton of Little Rock have bought family-owned West Tree Service Co., the largest utility line clearing company based in Arkansas.
The company, which has 275 employees, has several locations in the state. Its headquarters is at 6300 Forbing Road in Little Rock.
Ford Overton, the former EVP and COO of Rineco Chemical Co., will become CEO, while Warren Overton will become chief operating officer.
Jack West, son of founder A.D. West, is president; Bill Jackson is executive vice president and Matthew West is operations coordinator. All were part of the existing management.
The company maintains the trees along more than 4,000 miles of distribution and transmission lines for utilities each year. It also offers tree surgery and preservation services.
“There are opportunities for growth in many areas,” Warren Overton said. “And we are excited and look forward to working with existing management.”
