Main Street Burger Joint Is a Pilot Project

1 min read

Main Street in Little Rock is getting a gourmet burger joint called Home Fresh Burgers.

RAO Video owner Robert Oliver owns both his video store location at 609 Main St. and the 5,000-SF building across the street at 608 Main. The latter should open as a pilot restaurant for a new chain by 2013, Oliver said.

HFB National Holdings of Los Angeles is renting the 608 Main St. building from Oliver for the restaurant, which will be on the street-level floor of the facility. A representative of the holding company declined to answer questions.

Oliver described the burger restaurant as having a setup similar to that of Subway locations with a line that customers walk through to select burgers and toppings.

“It’s going to be fast food, but it’s going to be gourmet hamburgers,” Oliver said. “You go through the line, pick out your hamburger and decorate it yourself.”
