UALR to Offer Weekend MBA Program

1 min read

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has a new degree option coming in January to its College of Business: The weekend Master of Business Administration with a healthcare focus.

The class will meet one Saturday a month from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the remainder of the class completed online. The cost of the class is $25,000 and will be paid over the course of the enrollment.

“It’s the same program as the traditional evening MBA, but with electives and coursework centering on the healthcare industry,” Sonya Premeaux, associated dean of graduate studies at the UALR College Business, said in a news release.

The class was designed with input from central Arkansas business leaders and published research.

“All students start and end the program together and work on team-based projects,” Premeaux said in the release. “This helps develop close relationships, hone teamwork skills and support peer networks that will folio them into the workplace.”

UALR has a series of “Coffee Talks” set throughout October to meet with prospective students. The meetings and locations are as follows:

  • Oct. 1 — Starbucks, 201 N. University Ave., Little Rock
  • Oct. 2 — Andina’s Cafe & Coffee Roastery, 433 E. 3rd St., Little Rock
  • Oct. 8 — Starbucks, 2090 John Harden, Jacksonville
  • Oct. 15 — Guillermo’s Gourmet Grounds, 10700 N. Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock
  • Oct. 16 — River City Coffee, 2913 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock
