Young Americans, Minorities Rely More on Handheld Devices

1 min read

Young Americans, blacks, Hispanics and lower income households are more likely to rely solely on handheld computers than other groups, according to a November report from the Census Bureau.

The report, Computer and Internet Use in the United States: 2013, is based on responses to the American Community Survey, which collected information on computer and Internet use for the first time last year. It’s the largest such survey in the United States, and it analyzes computer ownership and Internet use by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin, income and education.
