Rod Ford’s XCelerate Capital Announces Entrepreneurial Scholarship Program

1 min read

XCelerate Capital of Little Rock has launched an annual Entrepreneurial Programming Scholarship program to help aspiring entrepreneurs, it announced Tuesday.

XCelerate Capital is an early-stage venture fund launched earlier this month by tech founder Rod Ford.

The scholarship aims to help entrepreneurs “seek education and assistance through various statewide entrepreneurial programming courses and events,” Ford said.

“The emergence over the past few years of entrerpreneurial and innovation Centers, maker spaces and accelerators have resulted in high quality programming focused specifically on the business skill development of the aspiring entrepreneur,” Ford said. “This programming is producing measurable results by nurturing founding entrepreneurs from ideation to the creation of an early stage company.”

Ford, founder and managing partner of XCelerate, wants to make sure all aspiring entrepreneurs, at the very least, have access to the multitude of programs and resources now available in Arkansas.

“We can’t think of a stronger way to demonstrate XCelerate Capital’s commitment to the success of the Arkansas entrepreneurial renaissance than to establish an annual scholarship fund to ensure programming tuition fees are not a barrier for any entrepreneur exploring the possibility of bringing to life an idea,” he said.
