Don Walker
Don Walker has been named regional executive of Arvest Bank, the company announced Monday.
Walker, a 37-year veteran of Arvest, will work with management and boards of directors of some of the company’s Arkansas banks to oversee operations, including expansion, business plan execution, asset quality and budgeting. He will also be responsible for federal governmental relations for Arvest.
Walker has served as Arvest’s market president in Tulsa since 1998. He has also served as market president in Siloam Springs and Bentonville. In this new post, he will work out of offices in Fayetteville.
“Don’s 30 years of exemplary service and experience as a bank president in three of our markets gives him unique insight and expertise that will prove invaluable to the local banks that he will be serving,” Arvest CEO Kevin Sabin said in a news release.
Walker was chairman of the board of trustees for John Brown University in Siloam Springs before moving to Tulsa.
“While I grew to love Tulsa as my home, the fact that my family and my wife’s family live in northwest Arkansas made this opportunity very special to me,” Walker said in a news release.
