Home sales in Arkansas rose 4.5 percent last year compared with 2013, according to a report from the Arkansas Realtors Association.
Michael Pakko, the state economic forecaster, crunched the data to examine home sales after both adjusting for seasonal fluctuations and month-to-month variability, citing differences in accounting regarding closing dates, among other issues.
“When considering the fourth quarter of 2014 as a whole, home sales continued to follow an increasing trend,” he noted.
