Steve Bauman Joins Rose Law Firm (Movers & Shakers)

Steve Bauman has joined the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock. He comes with experience in the areas of trusts, estate planning, real estate and taxation.

James Owen Howe has joined the Office of General Counsel at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Howe, who will work as associate general counsel and handle export control, Title IX and miscellaneous institutional issues, comes to UAMS from the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office.

Financial Services

Jay Clevenger and Tracy Baker were recently promoted at Centennial Bank in Jonesboro. Clevenger, promoted to regional retail leader, has 25 years of banking and finance experience in treasury services and data processing. He previously served as treasury services officer. Baker was recently promoted to treasury services sales representative. She most recently was assistant vice president/money services operations manager and has 15 years of banking experience.

Starlette Accurso-Owens and Mishelle Cauldwell have been chosen to lead United Federal Credit Union’s newest branch in Alma. Accurso-Owens, branch manager of UFCU’s Van Buren branch, will also serve as the branch manager in Alma. Cauldwell, who previously was assistant branch manager of the UFCU Fort Smith branch, will move to Alma as the new assistant branch manager.

Sean Campbell has joined the transportation services division of Crestmark in Benton as vice president and business development officer. Previously, Campbell worked with Bibby Transportation Finance as business development officer.

Kristen Vandaveer Nicholson has been promoted to senior public relations account executive at Mangan Holcomb Partners in Little Rock. She received her accreditation in public relations in January, marking more than seven years of practice in the industry.

Nonprofits

Chris Shenep, director of major gifts at the Centers for Youth & Families Foundation in Little Rock, has been named a recipient of the Chamberlain Scholarship by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy. This program is designed to help individuals serving nonprofit organizations develop their knowledge and skills in fundraising.

Hospitality

Greg Fernholz has joined McKibbon Hotel Group Inc. at Homewood Suites in Little Rock as general manager. Fernholz has 30 years of experience working in the hotel industry, most recently as the general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in North Little Rock.

Education

James Hendren has been named the recipient of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Fribourgh Award. Hendren is the former CEO and chairman of one of Arkansas’ earliest high-tech companies, Arkansas Systems Inc., now known as Euronet.

Health Care

Dr. Gary Linker has joined North Arkansas Regional Medical Center as psychiatrist and behavioral health psychiatric medical director of NARMC’s Reliant Behavioral Health Center. Prior to joining the staff at NARMC, Linker was medical director for geriatric and psychiatric clinics in Fayetteville and Fort Smith.

Nathan Ray, Jarrod McClain and Catherine Bain have been promoted at Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care in Little Rock. Ray has been named chief technology officer. He had been director of HITArkansas, a division of AFMC, since May 2013. McClain, who previously was senior director of clinical review, has been promoted to assistant vice president of clinical review. Bain, an employee of AFMC for 25 years, has been promoted to chief administrative officer.
