ABF Logistics, a subsidiary of ArcBest Co. of Fort Smith, will hold a ribbon-cutting for its new Oklahoma City branch Wednesday.
ABF Logistics, which reported first-quarter revenue of $47.3 million, bought the truckload brokerage company Smart Lines Transportation Group LLC for $5.17 million in January. Smart Lines had $18 million in revenue in 2014, ArcBest said when it acquired the company.
ABF Logistics will open a 100-seat, 13,000-SF facility for its sales and operations teams. ArcBest said the facility can handle employee growth as the company expands.
Greg Roush, the president of Smart Lines, became branch director.
“The new positions will be professional-level jobs that are good for the Oklahoma City economy, offering team members an opportunity to work for a growing company and pursue individual career growth,” said ABF Logistics President Jim Ingram in a news release.
